What is a Life Coach

Author: Ada Gimlan

Coaching is a partnership focused on getting your goals accomplished.

A Coach is trained to listen deeply, acknowledge whats there, question assumptions, point out conflicts and assist you in creating strategies toward success. A Coach is going to be bold, honest, keep you focused on what it is you want, the realities of where you are currently and keep you looking forward. A Coachs only objective is your success as defined by you.

As you attempt to transition, you will be confronted with the change process. The change process has many twists, turns and bumps in the road. A Coach can help guide you through the rough spots and keep you on the road. If getting from point A to point B were a simple process, we would all do it. The truth is - its not.

We make our plans, set our goals and life has a funny way of throwing us off course and testing our resolve. Dont give up on your dreams, yourself and your goals. You could be five minutes away from the miracle happening.

Is Coaching for You?

If you know that getting to where you want to go is an inside job - then a coach is for you

If you know that getting things just for the sake of getting them, leaves you feeling unfulfilled then a coach is for you

If you know that you cant see your own stuff, just like you cant proofread your own writing then a coach is for you

If you know that support is needed to get through the bumps then a coach is for you

And if you know that our attempts need to be validated and that there are lessons for us in the failures then a coach is for you

What kind of changes can a coach support you in? Some examples are:

? Transitions

? Weight loss

? Career changes

? Finding life purpose

? Next steps

? Clarifying values

? Finding balance
