Most of us have experienced a jealous partner and many of us have found ourselves being insecure or jealous in a relationship, no matters how enlightened we think we are. Jealousy is instinctive. Its a form of fear and insecurity. You suspect your partner of having an affair and youre afraid of losing him/her so you act out to try to protect yourself from losing the relationship. But what many dont realize (or temporary forgetting when they exhibit the jealousy rages) is that theyre more likely to destroy the relationship theyre trying to save.

If you are the jealous type of person, the first step you have to take is start communicating more. Stop assuming and start asking questions. Talk about your feelings and try to work it out with your partner. If youre at the receiving end of the jealousy, you also need to communicate and leave all doors open, meaning you must not have keep anything hidden or locked away from your partner but instead have open lines of communication. Resolve the mysteries of the past, discuss your feelings in the present and plan the future by communication and your relationship will be a big success.

Jealousy only brings you further apart.
