Cheaptickets doesnt specify the programs they use to secure the personal information. Unlike the travelocity, there is no mention of the security top priority. Chepatickets assumes no liability for the loss of any information transmitted via the World Wide Web. All the personal information is forwarded to providers and is secured by them. However, there is no mention of how the information is secured by providers and where exactly it is kept. International issues are not being discussed on the web site. There are no links or references for the non US resident customers to use.
Priceline appears to be the most secure web site of all three. Its privacy policy states that the information collected is stored in a single, secure database, accessible only by priceline. It is also guaranteed that the company employs reasonable and current Internet security methods and technologies.
Priceline has created a secure environment for credit card transactions. The web site uses Secure Socket Layer technology to encrypt all personal information including credit card number, name and address to prevent customer's information from being read during transmission over the Internet.
