Auto Detailing for Rent-A-Car Agency Sales Lots

Author: Lance Winslow

One market niche often over looked by many mobile auto-detailing companies and mobile car wash firms is Rental Car Agency sales lots; but why? Well because typically used car lots are problematic for getting paid on time, yet with rental car agency used car sales lots it is not like that at all.

You see, companies like; Thrifty Car Sales are all franchised units operating by selling the other franchisees of the Thrifty Rent-A-Car, Dollar Rent-A-Car franchisees and company owned units 'run-out' rentals. Thrifty Car Sales has 60 dealer agreements and sees an estimated 200 by 2005.

Budget Car Sales has been selling their cars for over 20 years and boasts a 1 million cars sold level as of January 1999 and each year the number goes higher and higher. Each Car Sales lot is individually owned as a franchise. They offer their franchisees exclusive territories, Floor Plan financing in house, retail finance partners including at one point in October-November of 2001 Zero-Zero financing and revises this promotion from time to time. That is unheard of in used car sales. But they came to the plate for their franchisees when they needed it most. Sustainability from teamwork helped their franchisees over the hump.

Knowing this is important because as a vendor of lot washing or detailing we know they will still be making sales when the economy or car sales are down. This means they have the cash flow to see to it that we are paid on time. All mobile detailers and mobile car washes might wish to consider this when expanding their companies in 2006.
