It is estimated that 600,000 students will benefit from the SMART program by the year 2010. The program is available to third and fourth year students that are full time students. The SMART program offers $4,000.00 To help offset the cost of education. This money is awarded in addition to the Pell grant, combined they could total $8,050.00 per year. Anyone interested in this program should contact the financial aid office at their college.
